Even though my business is over a year old, I really just started my email marketing journey.
I spent some time since my biz’s founding messing with platforms like Convertkit and Mailchimp, but I *never* took email marketing seriously.
Now, you might be like me. I thought it was an inconvenience. I didn’t want to have to create something else for my business. I was already creating a podcast, YouTube videos, a blog, content for Facebook and Instagram, and pins for Pinterest- on top of the work I was doing for clients.
Sure, I had heard of email lists and the “magical” things it could do for your business, but I never believed it. I didn’t think that I could use it to sell things for my business like those big gurus *cough Jenna Kutcher cough* do. I thought I would just be sending pointless emails that no one would ever read- so I didn’t start a list.
If you just let out a loud gasp at the name drop, I don’t blame you. I had to call her out because I know I, like other creative entrepreneurs, had done her free webinar and had followed her for a long time. I heard her preach about the importance of a list and how it could actually help your business, but I didn’t think it would actually work- that is, until she did a free training for a new platform called in Flodesk.
I can never pass up a free training (I love learning), so I signed up. I got a free month trial for the new platform, so I decided to poke around before the challenge.
I don’t know why, but something about Flodesk completely changed my mind about having an email list. Within the first week, I had designed and sent a few gorgeous emails and had grown my list to 20 people- all because of the amazing platform. It’s beautiful and easy to use builder makes it easy to design gorgeous, branded emails, as well as build amazing workflows, set up stunning landing pages, and get subscribers.
I compared it to Mailchimp, the only platform I used for more than an email, and the stats were amazing. My Mailchimp emails had an average for 1 open and no click, while my Flodesk emails have a 30%+ open rate. My Flodesk forms were converting more than 4x what my Mailchimp ones did.

Absofuckinglutely! Since starting my list, I have been able to nurture my audience like never before and sell in a way I never thought was possible.
